Subitizing
Subitizing Video - One of MANY youtube videos for subitizing. Your child simply watches and needs to tell "how many" within 1-3 seconds when flashed a picture. Typically numbers 1-6 are easiest for children who often play with dice. 7-10 is much more challenging, but with practice it can be done! Try searching other "subitize" videos.
Addition & Subtraction
Make sure you practice representing addition & subtraction. Students should not just "memorize" math facts. The standard requires them to show or act out or draw the math problem.

3. Come up with a number story at home and act it out. (Ex: I see 5 toys on the floor. I put 2 toys away. How many toys are left on the floor.)
